Fluidmaster Dual Flush Valve (a quick look)

Показать описание
A look at the Fluidmaster dual flush valve. This does not show how to fit it. It's a good valve that conserves water and is easy to fit (if nothing goes wrong), should fit most toilet cisterns, and is easy to maintain. With hindsight I would probably buy the Fluidmaster dual flush flapper valve though. But this flush valve is fine. I have no plumbing skills.

update Aug 2015 :
Flush force too powerful causing splashes
I am finding that the flush can be so strong that the water can splash my seat causing a bit of an occasional obvious unwanted mess. For that reason I have replaced it with another brand (Opella) which does not seem to cause this. I am not sure why it happens. Maybe I am an isolated case.

Nice one man!! Was looking how to replace the flush valve without having to take the cistern off the pan.. you're the only video that shows it. Cheers

Wasn't sure which was half and full flush and this with demonstration answered my question and was generally very informative. Need small fingers for half flush! Thank you!

Cheers for that. My flush valve is sticking and I needed to know how to remove the unit. Not gonna lie it, wasn’t a simple turn and click! One squashed thumb and it eventually came loose.

Helps a lot. Thanks for your video. I think you can take the collar off that flush button on the outside.

That fillvalve is made by wirquin not fluidmaster. Could be branded fluidmaster but in my country those inlet valves are branded wirquin you should check their flush valves their are far better quality that that fluidmaster valve and the wirquin flush valves have that special spanner tool included with the product. And they come in two different size outlets that makes it universal.

Our toilet valve seems to stick a bit on the short flush and leaving water constantly running until you keep playing with the button

I fitted exactly the same Fluidmaster flush valve about three years ago, but recently the button, which in my case is mounted on the lid, has stopped popping back up after a full flush. It always pops up after a half flush.

On my Fluidmaster Dual Flush valve the top is black and I have to twist the body in a clockwise direction (and jiggle a bit) to release it.

Poor design from a previously trusted company. Mine ends each flush with a loud bang (not water hammer). Fluidmaster had no idea how to solve - said play with the adjusters. Even if that helped (doesn't), then I would be sacrificing water saving to solve the design problem.

The fill valve is a wigguwan not fluid master
