Distinction: A Social Critique of the Judgement of Taste, published in 1979, is a seminal work by French sociologist Pierre Bourdieu. In this book, Bourdieu examines how tastes in art, culture, and consumption are used to reinforce social distinctions and perpetuate class inequalities. He argues that cultural preferences are not merely personal choices but are deeply embedded in social structures and serve as markers of social identity and status.

good video, if you are open to criticism, I'd recommend not skipping over the points you wrote in your slides. The difference between a 7 minute and a 9 minute video is not too large that people won't click it.
