I found my sister that was adopted back in 1945 through Ancestry. She never knew I existed. I found out about her when I was around 16 years old. I have been looking for her since 1968. It took 51 years, but I am so grateful.

That man that found his mom has the sweetest and kindest eyes. His mom birthed a beautiful son.

i feel like people shouldn't adopt unless they're ok with the child finding their biological families in the future. how could you deny your child of that piece of their life if they so choose to pursue it? adding family doesn't subtract from what parents who've adopted do or have done for their children. denying them of that is completely selfish

John and his mom are very much alike. Understanding, reassuring, and empathetic.

Heartbreaking. My parents sent me to a convent in 1968 after we found out I was pregnant. They cut off all communication with my boyfriend who had just joined the Marine Corps and had no idea I was pregnant. I delivered a stillborn baby girl when I was 7 1/2 months pregnant. My boyfriend and I never found each other for 43 years and we never stopped looking. We met again in 2009 after I found him online. We got married in 2018. I just wish my daughter had survived so he could have seen her. She looked just like him.

Just found my bio dad at 31 years old. He had no idea I ever existed. I did ancestry test and linked to family, contacted him through fb 2 years ago. He just moved an hour away from me and we get to spend time together more often. His wife is a wonderful stepmom to me and my grandchildren.

The most moving phrase that make me cry suddenly "I've Waited for This Call for 45 Years"

There is something really extra special about this show that the hosts have gone through the same experience. It's full of heart and soul. Thanks for putting this together, TLC.

I think it is sad for the adopted parents to feel so threaten.. I hope they get more comfort as time goes

There needs to be some sort of warning on this video that you’re going to need 5 boxes of tissues!! That was some rollercoaster of emotions. Thank you to the families that share this intimate journey ❤️

This is beautiful. Rita had John's ankle bracelet & receiving blanket, plus that precious picture. His adoptive-Dad was not in favor of the meeting, because he didn't want an interruption of their family. Yet if she hadn't given birth to him & been forced to give him up, the Angelo family wouldn't have gotten the son they love.
As for Evelyn & Kristen - it was a natural meeting. They fit as if the 45 years hadn't existed. They look so much alike, Kristen should know how she'll look in 18 to 20 years plus Evelyn has grandchildren.
GOD BLESS to them & their families.

I had my first son in 1977 at age 16. My parents supported my decision to keep him, in fact they encouraged me. It was a big deal in our little town back then and there was a lot of gossip. Most Girls either "had" to get married before they were ready, or they put their babies up for adoption. I finished high school, met a nice young man and got married at 19. He adopted my son and raised him no differently than his bio son we had a couple years later. These stories hit close to home because I know how easily that could have been me and my son.

How beautiful that they have found their babies. And the babies all grown up have found their moms.

The fact that Kristens concern is that, her birth mom knows she's okay...that got me😭

What a wonderful gift these people are doing to connect adopted children with their birth parents.
