Hidden in a corner, Sheila watches Stephanie leave. After confirming Massimo’s relationship with Stephanie, he gleans that Sheila knows her. Sheila claims she doesn’t, and tells Massimo to forget about her and rushes out. Brooke is pleased that Bridget seems to be enjoying herself during the family dinner. Bridget later tells Rick that she enjoyed the evening, but has gotten her hopes up too many times to make her believe there’s been any real change. As Brooke and Eric bond over their children, he leans down and kisses her. Brooke is instantly troubled.

Brooke and Eric really should get back together. They look like when Dorothy found Leslie Nielsen at the end of Golden Girls.

This scene shows that the writers _do_ know who Sheila's main rival is. The was they almost, but not quite, have Stephanie and Sheila meet, and then have Sheila discover Stephanie's identity while Stephanie hears Sheila's voice and finds her earring but doesn't recognize the voice, is a very deliberate way of raising the tension. We know that if Stephanie and Sheila ever meet, the storyline will be over. But the potential that they _might_ meet adds momentum to the plot.

It's also a nice step by step escaIation to first have Sheila encounter Taylor, and then Stephanie. Sheila is slowly getting closer to the center of the show, which also means that she is getting closer to the end of her story. The moment the Forresters find out about Sheila's identity, the storyline ends and Sheila must disappear.

Brooke and Eric were never gonna get back together she doesn’t have feelings for him like he does for her if she did she and ridge wouldn’t have slept together while she was married to him ridge was always the one she wanted but of course Eric acts delusional about it thinking they could have a second chance

Mind you, all soap opera's had a male villain like James Stenbeck and Stefano DiMera. Only here it was Sheila Carter. I reversed their last name here. It's Stefano Lovejoy for me with his boring calm character he plays and Sheila Dimera, because she's so fierce as a villain.

For someone who claimed she grew up with a good, moral family background, Brooke certainly acts like she was dragged up in a cave with no home training.
