Bro. 💀

I genuinely felt that when he screamed "WHAT THE FUCK?!" out of shear anguish.

I’m from South Carolina and we have these EVERYWHERE. Hogna carolinensis, otherwise known as the Carolina Wolf Spider. I used to catch these bad boys with my bare hands. They look menacing, trust me they are, but not to humans. See unlike most spiders who are more tactile and wait for prey, they actively hunt for it. So they are your freinds when it comes to dealing with pest.

I'm not a huge fan of spiders, but wolf spiders are okay in my book. They eat recluse spiders, so if I see them around my house, they're honored guests 😅

Wolf spiders are good spiders. They hunt silverfish and other nasty things. I had silverfishes once and after a while I never saw them and found a wolf spider under my bathtub. I saluted the spider and let it live there until one day it was gone

Please don’t kill wolf spiders. They are our friends, eating the insects that really do bug us. I know they’re big and scary-looking, but let them go, and they’ll be your best roommates. Only two species of spiders carry venom that is medically significant to humans. Those are the brown recluse and black widow. Neither wants anything to do with us, and they’ll only bite in direct self-defense. I used to have arachnophobia, so I learned as much as I could about them, and now I love them. They’re amazing little beasties.

Moral of the story: respect spider's lives. ❤

Creeped me out so bad. I hate spiders.
I actually got blood poisoning from one when I was 18.

Wolf spiders are your friends. They keep other pests in control and they rarely rarely bite and they are not poisonous OR aggressive

Back when I was like 10, when I was outside I looked down on the ground for just a moment when I accidentally stepped on a wolf spider. That was also a mother carrying her babies. Luckily for me, even though I had arachnophobia (and tbh still do) I knew about that fact and didn't freak out thaaaat much. I just quickly got my foot off and kinda ran away. It still looks like something from a horror movie though.

Unless I'm all geared up like a Space Marine with flamer to purge for the Emperor... I will not be doing that.

I know its unnerving and that but... I actually feel sorry for the spider. It feels horrible to try and capture a spider to release it only to miscalculate and crush it :c
Also, poor baby spiders ;-;
