Dude awesome video thank you got my instance running. I do have a question though I would like to customize this as my own build and own styles. I could not find any docs on how to set this up local in a repo to make code changes? Do have any videos that go through customizing and adding features to your instance?

Great video... Could you, please, publish how to do this with auto-renewable certificates from LetsEncrypt?

Dear Denshi, thanks for the nice tutorial. I am stuck at the end with properly setting up nginx. I do have experience in Linux for quite a while. In a first step I am interested in a pure locally running instance. So, can I just skip the nginx part? When I do this I cannot proceed with the root login at the webmask. Finally I would like to use a subdomain at an external nginx (supplied by another application in our school). Would appreciate any help. RR

I started this then halfway through ran out of disk space. I had to wipe /var/www/peertube, then I created a 500GB (virtual) volume and mounted it to /var/www/peertube and redid some steps. My instance works fine now! thanks.

Thank you! Very straightforward. I'm stuck in the installation with yarn, is taking AGES to install. I can't wait to have my own instance to upload 2 videos a year ...

Hi, I have no knowledge of computer science. I want to create a instance of peertube as a hobby for my personal videos, but I want it to be hosted in a cloud service, so I wouldn’t need to buy a server. Is it possible to be done ? Where can I find a professional to do it ?

Nice tutorial, too bad I couldn't get it to work. When installing the certificate I get 'challenge failed for domain' and 'error getting validation data'. Installed it on a freshly installed Ubuntu 20 server. Created a new public DNS record, did HTTPS port forwarding in my router and made sure the firewall on Ubuntu (ufw) was disabled.
