Crazy Horse Spring Volksmarch! The Beautiful Black Hills Of South Dakota!

Hi everybody! We are so excited to show you all this video of the Crazy Horse Volksmarch! Held on June 1st, 2024, this Volksmarch is such an amazing hike. There is a 5K and a 10K hike to choose from, and we did the 10K hike. There are beautiful forest and mountain views along the way, as well as glimpses of Crazy Horse. To be up close and personal with this massive granite sculpture really is something to behold. We hope you enjoy this look at the Crazy Horse Volksmarch!

I rode the George Mickelson trail last year. One of the biggest surprises that I had in my cross country car trip was the Black Hills of South Dakota. I mean, it’s South Dakota. Who knew? Well, now I know. Absolutely beautiful place. With Rushmore and Crazyhorse in the same area, it was nothing that I expected.

The great work was founded by the sculptor - Korczak Ziółkowski. The Michelangelo of the 20th century. His wife, family - also respect for their work. Cool! We've had some Volksmarch events around our area over the years as well. Now this is certainly an epic adventure! Have not ever seen it so up close and personal before!! Just such a marvelous experience!! Quite something and moments to remember...don't think it will be finished in my lifetime, but something that generations to come will definitely find amazing!

What a dreamy video! The music was awesome and the camera-work, well that was amazing too but I've come to expect that. I can't even imagine how the sculptor achieved such a realistic-looking face on such a large scale. Amazing. A spectacular location to visit for sure.
