To add servers via the Settings Network interface on Gnome:

Option 1:
Currently a list of NordVpn servers can be found in the following file:
Make a folder called NordVpn in your home directory and extract the zip file there (or wherever you like).

Option 2:
If the ovpn.zip file no longer exists, go to the NordVPN homepage (nordvpn.com) and login.
A list of all the NordVPN servers appears.
Select the server and protocol (TCP or UDP) you want to connect with and download the .ovpn file to a directory of your choice (I created a directory called NORDVPN in my home directory).

Adding NordVPN Servers:
If you are using Gnome front end, go to Settings / Network. Click the "+" icon above the VPN text box.
A window called Add VPN opens.
At the bottom of the list of options, select the Open From File option.
Browse to the directory you extracted the zip file to. Select the ovpn.udp folder.
A list of NordVPN servers (starting with those in Albania) appears.
Double click on the server you want to connect to.
The Authentication type for this VPN connection is password.
Enter your NordVPN User Name and Password in the corresponding boxes and select “Add” button in the upper right hand corner.
A VPN entry for the selected server how appears in the Gnome Network window. To connect to it, simply slide the radio button beside it to the right. To disconnect, slide the radio button to the left.
To add other NordVPNservers, simply repeat the steps above and select a different file from the folder where the .ovpn files your downloaded are stored.
You don't need to have NordVpn write a GUI interface for Linux, when the Network Settings of the Gnome GUI desktop already has a way of entering them.

Hope this helps.

Nice video! However, I used the terminal steps outlined on the NordVPN website & it installed easily. I'd rate the level of difficulty very similar to following one of the tutorials on how to install Wine or getting DVDs to play. I am using Xubuntu 16.04 so YMMV if you're using a later version of Ubuntu. This is a real curse of Linux how things will work perfectly on one Distro version but not on another. However, for me it nordvpn seems to be working very smoothly.

Nord always fails the DNS Leak Test after I get it installed and connected to my favorite server! How do I Stop the Leaks so I can Torrent Safely? That is the Main Issue that has kept me from abandoning my favorite OS of all time which is Windows 7! Windows 10 Flat appearance and Outrageous Telemetry as well as the fact my CPU and Ram stay twice as busy as good old 7 does! Since many infrastructures still run XP and even more still run 7 Microsoft will be forced to keep both XP and 7 Mostly Secure for another 10 years!

This is the worst how-to I've ever watched, beginning with the misleading title! Are you kidding? Talking speed = 98 MPH gusting to 120. Text size = microscopic. Screen real estate = 70% Half Dome / 30% terminal window. Assumptions = "Everyone is using my Linux distro & knows how to do this already so I'll just go through it to kill time until my coffee is done brewing." Tip = Don't waste the bandwidth. Unless you match the assumptions, surf on over to the Nord website like you should have to begin with and have this working in half the time it takes to re-watch this video the multiple times it will take you to figure out what he's doing.
