I think it would be a good idea to get hold of a retired nun or priest that lived there and do an interview or invite for a walk around. It does not matter if people are religious or not it is the history and richness of the history that matters. You can modify the walls and bring it back to original Physical status but you also have a richness and history of lives lived. I think that is a huge part of a heritage site and its restoration.

I could definitely see this as a wedding destination! 40+ guest rooms, catering kitchen, chapel, the works!

The convent has so much potential, apartments, coffee shop, candy shop, pastry/sandwich shop. The nuns bedrooms could be a minimalist hotel, where people can stay and experience what life was like for the nuns. Wedding events, endless possibilities.

The chapel could so easily become a wedding venue with those huge anti-rooms to serve as a reception space and dance floor. The small rooms to the side could be where the bride and her maids dress for the event. Sooo many options there. Best of luck guys!

Hi guys, the chapel should be used for musical concerts. A small second hand pipe organ would be increadable for organ and baroque programs. It could also be hired out for functions. What an exiting opportunity and project

Those troughs or 'coffins' as you suggested them, are for keeping root vegetables. You put sand, or garden soil in them, then your root crops like carrots, turnips and potatoes. The sand or soil helps regulate the humidity in the vegetables. When the soil dries out you sprinkle it lightly with water so your food doesn't wither and dry up, or get too humid and sprout. This was a kitchen food supply storage.

What an amazing place!! As a realtor of 30 years, I see so MUCH potential in business opportunities! Rental units, office spaces, artist studios, wedding venue, a B&B, and more!! Holy cow!!! Great investment!!!!

Big buildings echo and footsteps are usually little critters that sound like big foot steps. Also, after you walk on old floors, they press down in the day and at night, as the air cools, they 'pop' up, sounding like footsteps. It's a great building so don't get too spooked. You're extremely lucky to have this historical place.

Ive been watching the videos in reverse and random order and your journey is so inspirational. I don't understand why there are only 290k subscribers. Sometimes, just listening to the conversations in your video is so relaxing. I hope to visit someday.

Hello Billy, I don't really ever read the comments, but this time I had to see what the viewers have to say, and I agree wholeheartedly with the first couple of people, nothing to add except to say, this is an amazing project. Very challenging, but it would be amazing once the renovation starts. Volunteers would be wonderful - those whom have special skills in gardening and wood renovating. Really wishing you all the best with this project, it will be like eating an elephant, a sharp knife and fork, one bite at a time. It will be so worthwhile! Many blessing and good planning. Kind regards..

I volunteered locally when our old prison was rehabbed into a museum and event venue (haunted house, summer film center, etc.) and it was tremendously heart-warming to bring that piece of local history back - or at least part-way back - to what it was. The building used local granite, and while it was a prison, it feels like the town has claimed its own history, if you know what I mean.

This is the impression I get from your video. Your dad is a sweetheart, and I love that you're doing this. There's so much history, and so many things you can do with it.

Brilliant purchase of equipment that will hold you in good stead for many years for use on all your property. Amazing the difference in the courtyard, it is all going to be magnificent. I think your idea of opening the restored chapel to the public for perhaps musical events would be fantastic, let alone the potential of use (if you restore commercial type kitchen) for weddings or parties or small conventions, art and crafts events, lofts rented out to artists, OMG the POTENTIAL of it all. WOW.

After going back and binging on some past video's of yours and Micheal's, I now understand by watching the amazing talents your fathers has of constructing and building, how you have the skill to renovate a chateau ... Now you can bring that same talent and skill to the renovation of the Convent ...

Keep Doing What Your Doing .. Because What You Are Doing Is Nothing Short Of Amazing !!
