The lyrebird can mimick not only other birds but other sounds as well. They've been known to mimick car alarms, chainsaws amongst other things.

I love the sound of Loons! They mate for life and come back to the same nest every year! I grew up on a lake with several nesting sites. My Uncle Bob actually made floating signs that said "NESTING LOONS, NO WAKE ZONE, DO NOT DISTURB, DON'T EVEN
LOOK AT THEM FUNNY! They will abandon their nest with the eggs still in it!"

This lake had a lot of water recreational vehicles, but in 48 years not ONE PERSON disrespected the signs OR disturbed the Loons. There was even a raffle at one point about when their babies would hatch! I miss that community. Not sure it'd still happen!
