One of my viewers inquired about the possibility of cooking a portion of a brisket on a Weber Smokey Joe cooker and getting similar results to what I produced in my Texas Brisket video. I chose to respond in this video on exactly how I would make the attempt. Enjoy!

Weber has an amazing lineup of grills and smokers, this small smoky joe included. Very informative and nicely done. Sometime we can take knowing certain things for granted, but there are tens of thousands who don't know. Until last year I never owned a weber anything and had never heard of a smokey Joe. I picked up a Smokey Joe Gold and modded it by drilling the holes for the bottom vents and added a ash catcher. Now I have a lockable lid with a lid holder and I love it. I use it often during the week or when I go to the lake front.

thumbs-up on this Orrie, i wouldn't have thought long-smoking would've even been possible in the Smokey-Joe before watching this. i have always just thought of it as a portable tailgate grill, or camping grill. I'm going to get one today

Hey man! You know I've been following for a little while. This is the kinda stuff i love. I just cooked a rack of ribs on my Weber Kettle using the offset method. I used mustard this time to hold the seasoning and marinated for a day. I still havent got a good meat thermometer. But i know the hot side of the kettle was 290 and the offset sife with meat was around 235-250. Cook a brisket using the snake method and ill do it next!

Lovely to see a video Sir.
The jumbo joe is not for sale in sweden unfortunately. We do have an 18 inch kettle though with tall legs, but thats not as versatile imo.
I might have to go to germany and pick one up at some point :)

Hell yeah man i just smoked some salt with the little weber.Main issue with it is the ash from the charcoal on the bottom since it doesnt have the sweeper.ive found its best to poke it from the bottom with a small pointed object so it falls out and clears your air way.

I actually did the cook this past weekend, on Saturday and was able to pull it off. I shot video and will hopefully be able to start editing it tonight so it should be posted in a day or two. Stay tuned and thanks a bunch for watching!

I drove straight into the bigger Weber Kettles after learning on a 22.5" Master Touch. Recently, I couldn't pass up the clearance deals on both a Smokey Joe and the Jumbo Joe. I wish I would've bought these smaller cookers first. I really underestimated them.

Also, is there an update on the cook or a video on it?
