This. This so much. I love Pokemon Sun, and I hate Lusamine, not because she's a bad character, but because she's such an amazing villain, and I have to praise the writers for it so much. I see so little in the way of this, and of Gen 7 in general tbh. Thank you for acknowledging the existence of this version of Lusamine and the story of SM.

It gets sadder when you realize this was an insanity-induced trauma out of an attempt to find her lost husband who got trapped in another dimension.. to Lusamine the Ultra Beasts were the only way to get him back.

For "minimal polish" this is actually not bad
The lyrics scream Lusamine. And the eyes... they seem out of place in the sense of art style but they're equally terrifying when you look at her in-game gaze

This completely hits the exact feelings I had when I first saw that room in sun and moon. Horror, terror, fear, and disgust. Lusamine in sun and moon was the most scary villain, not because she had a point, but because her insanity and sheer difference between her and every other character in the franchise. We’ve seen people see Pokémon as tools or toys, but nothing like this. She killed them to simply display them, not to honor them, not to pay respect to them, just display. And she genuinely believes she’s in the right. Lillie and gladion were caught in the crossfire of a mentally unstable woman losing her husband and having too much power. And people wonder why I say sun and moon are the better versions

This doesn’t feel like a first concept Songtober. This feels like a full on byte and I love it.

If I had a nickel for every time I fought a Nintendo villain who became insane with vanity and abandoned their loved ones in favour of beauty and power because of things that lead to other dimensions and eventually turned into eldritch entities in their sick vision of beauty I'd have two nickels. (Lusamine and Sectonia) Which isn't a lot but it's strange it happened twice.

Even though these songs have "minimal polish, " they feel a lot more complete than past songtober's.
The artworks (for now) are complete (and there's often two) and I'd say they're a bit longer in average, plus THEY ARE SO GOOD. It's nice to see this just gets better each year.

Game Freak made a villain character so horrible, menacing, mentally deranged and focused solely with beauty and specially herself. That they made two alternate realities (the Anime and Ultra Sun/Moon) where Lusamine isn't a psychopath

I honestly wished that Anime Lusamine was like this, it would be so... Interesting to see how this version of Lusamine would react to Necrozma and its Ultra form
