The truly sad thing about it all is that we will never get back what we have lost. When I was a kid growing up in a middle class neighborhood we could come back from riding bikes and just lay them down on the lawn while we were inside and nobody would steal them. During the summer when it was really hot we would leave the front door open all night and not once did anyone ever do much as look inside. We could go to the drive in movie theater and not so much as an argument let alone a fight breaking out or worse. Character used to count for something

Honestly, we should open the borders completely between the US and Canada for a while.

Move all the Liberals to Canada, and all the Conservatives to the US, since the laws and constitutions favour that arrangement, then close the borders again

That said, I have friends 20 years younger than me who listen to the same music I do and love the same TV shows I watched when I was younger. The history of pop culture is at our fingertips.

Everything is collapsing, all over the world. Society is crumbling.

Anyone been to a mall lately? They’re ghost towns compared to a decade ago because of online shopping. Jobs lost as well as losing the knowledge of how to behave and interact in society. I still remember several phone numbers of friends from over 20 years ago because I dialed them so much. If I lost my phone now, I’d never talk to my brother again. Kids had to research and remember things, now they just look them up on google and forget immediately. The internet is the absolute worst thing to happen to humanity.
