I think a lot guys forget a sound bar in a compromise. You don't have all the mess like wires and boxes every where. I would imagine the Senn.... given the right room would be very impressive. I can tell it gives a quality sound.

This is just a soundbar you have to keep in mind.but it gets better when you put a subwoofer on the side of it..This is a system for people who will not have to use a lot of speakers and wires in the room you have to keep in mind.I have bought this soundbar myself and am very happy..Great sound in Atmos.And its play very good with my B&W asw610xp :)

I bought 3 years the Yamaha ysb 2500 soundbar yes no Dolby Atmos but for £320.00 is all I payed of eBay. New £ 700.00
Still love it has worked very well.
I can't justify getting rid of it.

Best review of this soundbar I have seen. I have wanted this soundbar from the day it became available. I would have purchased it already but I can't find a TV stand long enough to support it. I would have also upgraded my TV by now but once again I am limited by the TV stands available. Wall mounting is not an option for me.

I remember when flat screens just started to become common in every home. I was a very early adopter. The industry took a few years before the standard entertainment center caught up. The industry was still making entertainment centers for CRT TVs long after the last analog tv ceased production. Back then a 37 inch flat screen was considered big. Nowadays 65 inch is standard. Yet, I can find no entertainment centers that will support a 65 inch TV.

Right now I am using my TV stand/table made for a 45 inch tv but my TV is 55 inch. Ya, it works but I don't like the look. I'll upgrade to this soundbar and a 65 inch TV when a "QUALITY" stand/table is made available to support the devices and a few stereo components as well. I've considered a custom built stand but were talking $2k just for an experienced carpenter to put you on his waiting list. I'm not rich by any means but home entertainment is my weakness. I'll spend what I can afford for the best but I have my limits.

Hi Shane, I noticed that you had the KEF LSX speakers in the video - does the AMBEO sound as good as those for music? Would be good to have a soundbar that is almost as good playing music as it is with movies.

Had to use some saved up BestBuy points to get this but boy does it work good! Surprising how well it does overhead and "rear" sound.

2500 is a lot of money for a soundbar but if you buy a high end 5.1 or 7.1 setup it will cost you more. Hell my amp alone was that price. A soundbar is a good solution for some people good video 👍

i thought i was buying a great soundbar but i keep getting strange noises from the speakers and the agent has had it twice and still very poor. 4 weeks the first time and so far 3-4 weeks and still not returned. Get and B&O so much more reliable and it’s about the same price.

Sound bar is a sound bar. They might be nice but you just can’t beat 5.2, 7.2 and so on. Thanks for the post, very informative.

Good review man. Most of the comments on here are negative Nancy's. Nobody shopping for a soundbar cares how much better 7 separate speakers, an amplifier, wires etc is. Also, this isn't a review on the cheapest soundbar, it's expensive - so what, sometimes it's worth it. To me that's the real question is, is it worth the extra money that it costs?

I do have to laugh that you tested it on the cardboard box it came in. Priceless. But it was a solid review and I know you weren't keeping it, just reviewing it so you aren't going to custom setup your pad just for that soundbar.

I just bought this soundbar today. I have hooked it up with my LG CX using eARC but I'm not sure if I'm getting the best out of it. I have calibrated the soundbar using the microphone and tried playing 6 Underground on Netlfix using LG's Netflix app. I got 'Dobly Vision' pop-up on TV screen but no 'Dolby Atmos', which makes sense as it is passing through Dolby Atmos to the soundbar to process it. Sounbar shows HDMI TV + ATMOS on its small LED screen when playing the movie. I have also tried few Disney+ shows that support Atmos. I'm not sure if need to change any setting in Sennheiser app to enhance the experience. App shows 'Dobly Atmos' code with channels set to 'objects'. In Dobly DRC settings I have turned it Off and Dolby Virtualizer is off as well. Should 'Dolby Virtualizer' be on?

Can you please make a detailed video on setting you use for Dobly Atmos content? Sennheiser is not so great with providing that information through the app. Can you please help me out?

Thanks for the review! Did you redo the calibration after putting the Ambeo on the box? Wonder if that may have had a impact on some of your findings. While at home my LINN 5.1 setup is amazing for my small condo this would be perfect!
