Recent statistics have indicated that Canadian wildfires have pumped three times more carbon into the planet's atmosphere, than Canada emits by all other means (Industry, heating, electrical generation, automobiles & trucks and all other forms of transportation). Rather than Canadians paying exorbitant Carbon Taxes, that provide no benefit to the environment, the government should be concentrated on resolving the wildfire issues. If the country is burning, the government isn't doing enough. Canada has recently been called out and embarrassed by our NATO allies for failing to spend our agreed commitment of 2% of GDP in defense spending. Defense spending is a domestic and an international expenditure. Increased defense spending can be spent for the defense of Canada against all domestic threats, including forest fires. Upgrading equipment and resources and an additional 100 waterbombing aircraft could help considerably to control wildfires before they spread to a catastrophic level. The aircraft and equipment could be procured for the Canadian Military and remain in their ownership, but be loaned or leased to fire prone provinces across the country, to be operated by military, or private personnel. The icing on the cake, is that Canada's Boreal forests contribute significantly to reduce carbon in the atmosphere for the whole planet, but they are being lost.

$350, 000 Canadian Tax dollars well spent on new 24/7 fire fighting, but only used in California, Australia, Bolivia, Chile.
Canadian Taxpayers must be proud.

Just gotta last another 2-3 decades. By then, all the forest would have burnt down and nobody will need to worry about living anymore.
