Stocks rebounded after the sell-off and have powered higher up to today, now back near all-time highs.

The more I watch Adam's videos, the less I understand what's happening. The only impression I get is that I, as a poor person, am screwed and there is no saving grace for us. Everything that once worked to balance the unabated greed has been either hijacked or circumvented through elaborate mechanisms that only their architects understand. This is not a strike at Adam either, I don't think most people ever imagined the American economy could be contorted to work against the common man so effectively. The major downturn that would correct the "inflated" prices never materialized, despite nearly everyone holding their breath for it. I think Adam understands just how unfair the system has become, and as much as he may want it to "revert to normal" he also understands that we are *IN* a new normal.

Once again Sven restores my sanity. I keep watching the "markets" going higher when it is only a few that are doing great, but all financial reports continue to say market at all time highs. Unless you are over weight the most over-valued stocks of all time you are not at all time highs. Buying fairly valued stocks and staying diversified is not rewarded, but does keep you solvent when the over-valued come crashing down. Also are buy backs a function of free cash flow?

The US debt pile is so enormous that the only two realistic ways to deal with it are default or sustained high inflation.
I cant see the US wanting to lose face by defaulting as their ego wont allow it, so that leaves stimulus/ inflation.
Assets will rise and the middle class will either ascend higher or be crushed into oblivion.

Edit: he is entirely correct about the consequences of absurd wealth gaps historically, if the poor are too numerous and too oppressed they will rebel violently.

Sometimes you just miss something. Of course we all want the market to go up, but some of us want the dips to have an opprtunity to re-balance or just get back in after taking hopefully profits.
