Evgeny Yufit about Fishing and Art

Artist and filmmaker Evgeny Yufit, who founded the art movement 'Necrorealism’ in the 1980s, had a passion for nature and fishing.
In his video message from 2013, he invited his artist friend (E-E) Evgenij Kozlov to join him for fishing at Peterhof and at lake Seliger, which inspired many of his photographs.
Filmed by Hannelore Fobo at Peterhof near Saint Petersburg, where Evgeny Yufit spent most of his time. The surroundings of Peterhof are present in his films, among them ‘Папа, умер Дед Мороз / Daddy, Father Frost Is Dead’ (1991), ‘Серебряные головы / Silver Heads’ (1998) ‘Убитые молнией / Killed by Lightning’ (2002), and ‘Прямохождение / Bipedalism’ (2005).
