It's powerful for a tablet! This mobile GPU can play games at reasonable frame rates given you optimize in-game settings, and for this resolution its quite good. Pricing of course would be a lot higher with high-end mGPUs like gtx680m.

Why are people complaining about the price? If people would save their money wisely then they should be able to afford nice things like a razer edge pro or a high end alienware laptop, this isnt for kids or teens who beg their parents. You gotta work for these things. I admit the price is overpriced but this is first of its kind and you gotta know that razer has to charge a lot for this because its a niche product

If any of you are buying $500 ipads every year than save up for the price of 3 ipads and get a razer edge pro.

I agree. I just watched his Shield review and it felt amazingly unbiased yet still got me excited for the features of the product while also informing me about all the cons multiple times without feeling like he was dogging on it.

This review was very similar and I am now subscribing due to it.

I have my edge pro hooked up to my TV, I use it as a steam console and play black ops and Bioshock with my xbox 360 controller, then switch over to netflix for a family movie using a wireless keyboard.

I love my razer edge :)

Of course you play on your PC if it's there but this is for portability, not centered on home-only use.

i know that the Blade is one sexy laptop, it was designed for portable gaming, (unlike the most thick and heavy gaming laptops)

considering no ultrabook at a 1000 dollars even has a dedicated GPU or one that "high end" it is pretty good. Also the GPU isn't designed to pump out at 1080p like it's bigger brothers. There's a reason the screen is only 1366x768. At that res with that GPU you would probably be able to manage just about anything at medium and most games at high details. If you plug it into a TV however and try pump out 1080p then this is going to suck. That's not what it was meant to do though.

i'm not saying its bad quality, its just not as clear. i would like 4k on computer screens but it costs way too much. where as 1080p on smaller screen at least gets me a great resolution, so i can watch movies at their intended resolution and web pages without having to zoom in.

Its a good concept but ahead of it's time, current batteries are not going to power a thin gaming PC for like 5 hours, it's not happening, the 1 hour battery kills it so you are better off just getting an alienware laptop or an asus. I'm sure future models will be better, this is the first one, the first of any product is just a beta, to see how it does then they make improvements
