Dubbo NSW: The hub of the west

☀️🚗 WHAT: Big drought country road trip. 📍 WHERE: To the "hub of the west" Dubbo NSW. About 40km north west of Sydney. ❓❓ WHY: It's a great old town with lots to do and see. 🌻 WHEN: First weekend of Spring. It get's bit hot in the summer. 🍳🥓🍔 FOOD: There's a good selection of cafes and restuarants. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast at CSC in Macquarie Street and a great burger at the bistro at Macquarie Inn off Wheelers Lane. 🛌STAYED: Macquarie Inn. 🚿 SHOWERS: Keep them really short, Dubbo is on water restictions. 👀 HIGHLIGHTS: We really enjoyed Dundullimal Homestead - National Trust of Australia NSW and The Dubbo Regional Botanic Garden. Dubbo City Heritage Walk is really interesting. 🦏🐪🐘 NEXT VISIT: Western Plains Zoo.

Dubbo is under estimated all the time. Yes it has problems but has so many great cafes (Yes CSC is amazing!) and many quirky places to visit.

But nsw Is in the east end of Australia. The actual Australian west hub would be Perth

The actual Post Office is around the corner in Talbragar Street. A much more modest premises. What made you think you’d get away with that?

I used to chat with a girl from Dubbo on a chat site on the early 2000s. She had quite a irl unique name and now and then I wonder what happened to her. "Hello" if you had the words 'tradeplace' in your angelfire email, lol. I was 'the beer' guy on the site and am doing alright in life.
