Your pictures don’t seem to match the locations in your commentary, the most obvious being St Marco square, which is in Italy not Burgundy!

The barrels shown to represent the town of Sancerre are from the Henri Bourgeois winery, at the top of the adjacent town of Chavignol, not Sancerre itself. They’re still in the Sancerre appellation. If you want to do some tasting, Chavignol is a much better choice, as some of the area’s best wineries are located there. It’s a five or ten minute drive from Sancerre proper. ☮️
