Or is it a modified electric that the nitro was converted from?

The answer is both. ElectricNitroVariant.

Curtis built them with the 4 helicopters out of one kit in mind from the beginning. Same frames with a minimal component change between conversions.

Damn the tail rotor was wigging out, gain too high or something. Check out 2:38, sounded like the tail was gonna just come apart.

of course it has more power than the nitro version...
but it also looks like a modified nitro version, no real eletric one.
