Chris Buck Picks His MK Clean Amp!

Come with us as we sit down with Chris Buck to choose his brand new MK Clean amplifier. Chris had the option to pick the Muirhead Scottish Leather, the logo, the front panel, grill cloth, speakers and a whole of features on these truly unique amplifiers! Sometimes though this can lead to option parayliss as Chris found out!

The MK family is a labor of love from Martin Kidd and the Victory team. This has been an idea we have been thinking about for at least five years: Can we make the ultimate amps, with no constraints on time, price, and materials? The MK Clean is the ultimate clean amp and the MK Overdrive the ultimate gain amp.

Sounds really good. Perfect amount of ”hair” on the clean sound 👍

Does Victory not have an app where you can swap the various options and see what it will look like? With that many options it seems like a must have!

Nice sounding amp. I wonder what the difference is between the MK Clean & say the Super Duchess? I have the normal V40 Duchess, and really like it as my loud clean Fender-style amp. But I'm not playing those bigger gigs that would call for more clean headroom. But I think I hear at least some of the same amp family clean tone. Pure, solid, clean, dynamic and articulate on the attack but smooth on the sustain. These Victory clean amps are very responsive to different guitar and pedal tones. Whereas, my Marshall JTM tends to imprint all drives/fuzzes tones with a JTM-ey flavour (plump, warm, vocal, slightly fuzzy around the deep bass and high treble edges). Which I do like, but it's no Chameleon.

Chris Buck has been my favourite guitar of the last several years and I cannot get enough of cardinal blacks album. That was until he says he’s an arsenal fan. What a shame

A dream day out for us guitarists.... come along and play some great gear and spec it to your own desire. So jealous....

Amps aside.... Am I the only one who wants him to have his hair down one of these days? I bet it flows like liquid silk, cascading in shimmering waves, embodying elegance and natural beauty with every graceful movement

When are Victory going to do this as a V4 pedal

If nothings else, Rock & Roll is about bucking senseless, oppressive traditions. That includes the foolish superstition about green being unlucky. I think it looks great and it would inspire me every time I see it. Consider who came up with these superstitions, and why. A standard or inverted blond/oxblood might be cool, too. Bright colors might even be nice. Maybe the Gulf Porsche baby blue & orange? Soichiro Honda wasn't afraid to wear bright colors. Look what he created.

There's a lot of white noise if you listen with headphones... 🎧
Sounds great though
