I work on old homes doing remodel and will often reach into the air ducts to fish out old coins like the 1898 Indian head penny and 1810 dime

It's interesting to see these because many people brush off wheat pennies as if they're nothing. I went to a coin shop near me and the guy said "well these you can go ahead and spend".... I literally had wheat penny's encased in a collection set. I usually go through my pennies a few times a year to find the wheaties. Sometimes I'll even find pennies on the ground and check if they're wheat. I just find them all fascinating.

These coins were unfindable in circulation forever. As a former coin collector who looked through endless rolls of coins 30 years ago. None of these coins could be found and had to be bought to fill out your collection. Anything valuable and old has been taken out of circulation many years ago as coin collecting has always had many followers.

A lot of the coins you mentioned are very well known by the masses; however, a few of them, including the 1956D are widely unknown IMO and I have been collecting U.S. coins for 60 years.

Been collecting wheat pennies since 1976 I have about 5000+ mostly average circulated to mint. I have about 30 double stamped wheat pennies. I have few error pennies like no date stamp. Will take them to see what they are worth.

Found a 2020 D penny today that has a partial 2020 penny reverse stamped across Lincolns forehead! Roll hunting a few rolls of 2020 uncirculated from the bank! It's a cool find! Not sure if it's of value but super cool!

I used to have tons of these pennies as a kid in 90s and early 2000s. I lived in an old building and you would just find them laying around in building apartments.

I have over 60 lbs. of wheat pennies that I have had over 30 years. I bought them from a friend when I worked as an automotive painter in California. I was going to melt them down, LOL, but guess now I am retired will take $5-10.00 at a time and go thru them as I am retired now.they are in canvas bags and I have never gone thru them..YES, I am aware of the legalities of melting them down for the copper scrap value, but, "F" the government.

3:37 - If I find a 1936 double die penny, there is no way I'm selling it just for $161 dollars.
If someone tells me it's only worth $161 dollars, I would say the extra $1, 000 dollars is a sir charge for finding it.

So happy to see that you’re branching out and showing coins that are realistic to find instead.😊

As a child in the 60's, I found the one cent pennies interesting and would save them every time I found one. I had quite a few of them, and for some strange reason, I mixed them in a container with regular pennies and gave them away. Later I learned that a penny of a certain year was worth a bit of money, and I just knew that I had it.
