I wonder if it should’ve just been called Awe Striker 2.

I believe there are Alpha and Delta models because they are each on different wavelengths so they can be played with at the same time.

I had the Crossfire as a kid. In my teens I beat it to a pulp driving it off ramps. Snapped an repaired the front axel. Broke a gun barrel. I wish I had hung onto the remote when I threw it away. I did save the orange accessories bits... which may help me complete one someday.

I'd like to see the original pieces of the donor figures put together in Rumbler configuration for comparison.

I bought mine used, with no driver. I found that Mega Marine Clutch works very well with this vehicle.

I don’t even count this figure. I actually call Armadillo “Rumbler” because that’s what he was called in the comics.

Another great one! I wonder if the crossfire was designed prior to the rest of the 87 line and delayed. To me 85 was the last year that all the vehicles looked really reasonable. 86 is where things started getting a little strange... and 87 most of the vehicles started getting weird. The crossfire looks more like it was supposed to be with the 85 or 86 line. Its neat and all but I think they would have been better off licensing out a RC toy first, seeing if it did well before investing so heavily into the crossfire which did seem to sell well. Its too bad. I think the crossfire would have done better as normal vehicle without the RC stuff.

Rather than an RC car.... I would have suggested an RC tank.. maybe a redesign of the MOBAT or a new tank. It would have screamed GI Joe and had something unique to offer. As an RC car the crossfire not very good compared to other similar cars. Having a tank really designed for rough terrain would have given RC fans not otherwise into GI Joe something to look at.

I'm a completist, but, not on lazy repaints. If anything, I'd get the car.

This is the only Joe vehicle I couldn't find anywhere when it came out.

I wanted to leave a positive review, but that was too much effort. 😅. Great job, …phoning it in.

I remember seeing this at a local drug store in the overpriced toy department when I was in my early teens. I was in my phase of not having to buy everything Hasbro produced anymore and was glad of it because this thing was ridiculously expensive. Despite getting almost everything from the RAH line eventually, I've never bought one of these. It looks like a neat vehicle.

It really took far less effort to change the channel. But I didn't because this is a review I've been waiting for forever 😅♾️

As uninspired as he is, Rumbler is a grail of mine. My collection goal is to get all of the Joes with facial hair. He's my last one :/

Intentional or not, the canopy appears to mimic Snake Eyes' v2 visor.

I had the crossfire as a kid (my mother had a home shopping network obsession) I loved the crossfire, it was indestructible, ran through rain snow huge puddles. Loved it.

Oh yeah the 27 and 49 are the frequencies of the radio.

I had this as a kid and thought it was a knock off until many years later.

I like your humor, HCC788! And at least your sweatshirt had a hood to kind of match the hooded Cobra Commander.
