Paris CDG Air France Lounge 2E K gates

This old, tired lounge is one of the worst on the Air France estate of a dozen or so lounges, the Paris CDG Air France Lounge 2E K gates is spread around the sprawling mess that is CDG airport.
Being underground means that this lounge is dull. There are the low ceilings and a beige colour scheme really make for a depressing, bunker-like feel.
There are two parts to the lounge, with the really old 1960s section having an ancient staircase. However, it really is a depressing start to any journey.

Yikes!! 2E(K) is a Ghetto! Was here a couple of days ago with my family and it wasn't very enjoyable. A world away from the lovely airy lounge further down the concourse! The guy at reception pointed us towards the left side, saying it would be more relaxing for families. When I saw the right side when I went for a shower I saw what he meant! When I saw the destination boards I honestly couldn't help thinking it's the lounge equivalent of what airlines do using their dated, non-retrofitred equipment to less glamorous parts of the world and still advertising and charging 'lie-flat, suite' money for high density cabins with angled recliners! The toilets/bathroom on the left side were really miserable and needed a good clean!! The shower rooms on the right side were nice though.

Not the best lounge indeed, needs a refurb and less people ;)
