You can now update firmware in selected Tamron lenses and customize various lens functions simply by attaching a Tamron TAP-in Console and running the Tamron TAP-in Utility software. Using the new accessory and an internet connection, you can access a dedicated website and update the firmware. In addition, selected lenses can be customized by changing settings to match your preferences.

Many thanks for the information and demonstration. I’ve recently bought 45mm, 24-70mm and 70-200mm G2 Tamron lenses and had thought about buying the Tap In Console. Having seen how simple it is to perform updates/adjustments, I’ve ordered the console.

Tamron: our lenses need to be updated because (as with everyone), the firmware isn't what is should be when first shipped. Also Tamron: pay us (buy our device) to update the lenses you spent thousands of dollars on already. LOL

I am returning my new tamron lens back to the big name camera store i just spent thousands with. I will spend the extra money on Nikkor lenses. Tamron this is ridiculous, how can this be missed?

How do I tweak the settings on the Tamron SP150-600mm G2 lens? I've already updated the firmware. I can't find a Youtube that shows exactly how to make those fine adjustments which will create the sharpest possible images at each focal length and distance. Guidance, please. Thanks.
