Many thanks for posting this it's a classic for us old timers. Word of advise you need to listen to this with a solid top bass sound system, so you can get blown off your arm chair.
The word is that Bob living in exile after that 1976 assassination attempt on him, wrote the song for the leaders behind the plot. He exhorted his Rasta brethren who eventually hunted down and killed all the gunmen involved, to back them up not the brothers but rather the ones who set them up(sent them to try assasinate Bob because he would not express allegiance with a political party)
