When this came out, I was 16, we had no idea after the dark side of the moon album, well how could they top that fantastic collection of songs. This was as close as anything they had done to perfection. The formula was different, but the same type of songs that grab your mind and heart and never let go. This tune(Shine on you crazy diamond) is absolutely the most powerful and haunting tune they ever did. A tribute to Syd Barrett. Thank you boys, I am now 64, and still listen often. What a classic

Dave Gilmore absolutely blows my mind with his guitar work, not just with this song either, the man is a genius who knows exactly how to soothe my soul when I’m really struggling. I’ve suffered from Scizophrenia, Borderline personality disorder, anxiety and depression and been addicted to just about every single pharmaceutical drug and most illicit drugs. I’ve most definitely been through my own times in hell but it’s masterpieces like this that have saved me time and time again! Thanks again to all you Legends of rock!!! Rock’n’Roll will never die!!!

Sitting here in the graveyard near my best friends grave i play this while i wash his headstone and have a few cans of stella artois. I talk to him a while about whats been going on in my life and then just lie back and reminisce. Its spring and i can hear the grasscutters way off in the distance and its honestly beautiful.
My friend died at 34 due to an alchohol/opiate/benzo accidental overdose. I wish i was there to recognise the severity of his situation. Unfortunately he fell asleep and never woke up.😢. I know we will meet again my friend. So shine on you crazy diamomd. Terry Bulmer died 13th September 2017. I will always miss you my friend. R.I.P.

Братишка тогда принес бобину с этим концертом. И я просто зависла от этой композиции! Лет мне было 15 или 16. Сейчас 61 и я также точно зависаю от нее. Да, у меня была черепаха, она всегда приходила и стояла, застыв и вытянув шею, пока играла эта музыка. Потом уходила. Мы снова включали и она опять приходила слушать! Это было поразительно!
