This year, my 55” LG B9 OLED broke down, and the panel replacement would be more expensive than what I initially paid for it. I was in the market for a QLED TV, since the people at home would usually watch stuff with static elements.

I stumbled upon a good deal for a 50” QN90D: ~$680 plus a Samsung 2.1 channel soundbar. I didn’t know much about the TV at that point, but decided to buy it anyway. Was initially underwhelmed, and was just assuring myself that, at least, I wouldn’t have to worry about burn-in/image retention as much as I would with the B9.

After some time, and after following RTINGS’ calibration settings, I must say I am pretty happy with the purchase. Colors are rich, and the brightness is plenty enough for almost all room lighting conditions. The Tizen OS is simple enough for my elderly parents, and snappy most of the time. I would recommend, especially if you find a good deal 👍🏾

I am very hesitant between the QN90D (43") and the S90D (48" in Europe) to play mainly Switch games. The two TVs are 150€ apart at the moment. What do you suggest? I want to have the best image quality and the best upscaling possible.

I also looked at the Sony A90K model which is much more expensive and seems to offer better upscaling, but I wonder if it is really worth it considering that it is a WOLED just like the S90D in 48".

Hey KG, I need your help. I'm planning to upgrade from a 65" to a 75" TV and I've stuck with the QN90A since its release because I haven't found anything else that matches its brightness and "pop." My question is, do you think the QN90D is on par with or better than the QN90A, particularly when it comes to brightness and overall pop in picture??

I am thinking about upgrading my 65” Q80c from a year ago. I am debating on the 77”S90D, 85”QN85D or 85”QN90D. Will the QN85D be a significant upgrade? Mostly for movies and gaming and football. I also have the 43” QN90D for my office and have been impressed.
