There will never be another show like ER. ER was truly one of a kind!

The first couple of seasons of ER are without a doubt among the best TV-Show seasons ever produced

Clooney was right about that fantastic ensemble. The high ratings allowed the diversity of favorite nurses and doctors by viewers. I loved the Benton/Carter pair more than the Ross/Greene (my wife's favorite). ER changed medical drama, and gifted us with flawed heroes who made their work personal.

Clooney wasn't overstating the case when he called ER the water cooler show. *Everyone* was talking about it the next day. I once tried to convey to my young adult kids how popular the show was, they didn't understand until I told them it was the Game of Thrones of its day. (this was back when GoT was must watch tv)

NBC OWNED the Thursday night line up between 1982-2005. Think about it, in that time span there was: The Cosby Show, Family Ties, Cheers, Night Court, Hill Street Blues, Friends, Mad About You, Seinfeld, Will and Grace, Fraser, ER. They just cranked out hit after hit after hit. Some of these shows are considered the best shows in the history of t.v. It really was the golden age of television.

I loved ER. Great ensemble, great script and important themes. Has aged well.

My favourite show👌I have goosebumps when I hear the music theme. For the first time I saw ER when I was like 15 years old, now I'm almost 36 and I watch season 5. I would say that the most exciting seasons were until Dr Green death.

I was always afraid of medical shows. hahaha. My brother watched it regularly. I sat down for a minute and never got up until the original cast had gone. The Eric Lasalle character Dr. Benton brought some memories of a book I had read a few years earlier. I believe the book was called ER. I remember Michael Crichton saying a while back that he had written the book for a movie but was converted to a series.

I wonder how long the original interview took. It seems like the time on his watch is not changing. Maybe just a prop?

ER's peak came in Season 8, with major cast departures (Benton and Greene) and emotional resolutions marking the beginning of its decline.
ER's declining quality post-Season 8 was evident through an influx of new characters and unrealistic storylines, resulting in the series losing its initial appeal.
It was canceled in season 15 with one-third of its initial ratings.

He's annoyingly handsome. Kind of like overkill.

One of tv’s best. Doing the show after ten years with “ emergency “ that never took flight, must of had been bizarre. So many pilots between. Clooney never found a home. He’s right the production value of ER for its time was a slam dunk. Hell or High Water episode I watched as it broadcasted for the first time, next day at work my whole crew was yapping about it all day it seemed. On a side note the revaluation that Malike the nurse was claimed to had been the one who attacked Mark in the bathroom weighs heavy. Malike wasn’t present at Marks funeral either. Kinda find that creepy.

I liked ER better after Clooney left. He was such an obvious hunk. The other characters became more interesting.
