GUYS I FIGURED OUT WHY IT WORKS SO WELL. Okay, so Gangstas Paradise is 81 BPM. Caramelldansen's is 165 BPM. If you divide 165 by 2, you get 82, close to 81, meaning for every beat in gangstas paradise, theres two for caramelldansen, meaning it matches up quite evenly.
