Pipelinin In The Back Yard (part 2 of 8' bumper rail)

Показать описание
In this video we will be welding up 8" pipe for a bumper rail. I will be beveling every joint of pipe with a mathey dearman pipe beveling machine. I will be stick welding downhill with my lincoln sae 300 welding machine, I will be welding with 1/8 8010 and 5/32 8010. I will also be using my victor hand torch to cut 5x 8" saddles for down legs on this bumper rail. The plan is to push the pipe into the ground this way the 8" pipe will not move around as bad when people bump it with a trailer. I hope you enjoy the video! Waiting on a welder to make a weld? It's like watching paint to dry, it will teach you patience. Just remember a welding rod will only burn at certain speed depending on the size and type of rod. You can not hurry the process up. Good video keep them coming.

Never be in a hurry to look at horseshit is what grandaddy you to say, that defiantly applies to welding! I use to be in business with a welder and he was always in a hurry. His mentality was I do it nice because I do it twice. He hated the phase It a process. I look forward to your video's each week been following you for two years now and every time I watch I always learn something new never too old to learn. God bless and stay safe brother

And the lens you use on the pancake looks like the gold wenslens. The burds singing in the background are so lovely!🥰

Another great video! I just spent a few days in your vicinity. We were in Bartlesville, and I didn't know how close that really was to you until today. Beautiful country! Thanks for another video. 👍

Lol. When you were laying out the “legs” and talking about using the beveling machine I was hollering “Austin go ahead and layout for straight hand cuts because there’s no need stuffing bevels in the ground”! 😂

I am a dude that only enjoys watching how to weld, you need to start an in person welding school! I never want to weld as a career, but you could teach so many!

Love your videos. As far as "waiting on a welder", that's just how it is. Yea, I've been impatient waiting on a welder, but its all part of the process. When I was welding, people waiting on me, always tried to hurry. As long as the welder is trying to get it done, no problem. When a welder is scratching his ass trying to milk the clock, different story.

Appreciate the helpful videos, just putting together first welding rig, kinda funny you say you want to try welding in the city you think it would be interesting I'd love to try welding in the middle of nowhere just for the experience being I'm from the city (Pittsburgh), Appreciate the videos again

Waited on welds to be made a couple times last year on mid Michigan 36” line operating on a HDD pull working nights. Didn’t bother me any kick back and enjoy a break, eat a sandwich or 2, nice to have a breather for once. Pipe hung up 300’ into the pull twice and with the way the row was it had to be spliced during the pull so that weld got cut and remade a few times
