Indian Stock Markets: Leading Companies Plan IPOs to Ride Bull Run | Vantage with Palki Sharma

Hyundai Motor India is gearing up for a record-breaking initial public offering (IPO) of around $3 billion after receiving SEBI’s approval. The proposed IPO, expected to launch in October, is set to become India’s largest-ever, surpassing the $2.7 billion record held by LIC. This deal will be a pure offer for sale (OFS) by the promoter, Hyundai Motor Co. If successful, this could significantly impact both the automotive and financial markets in India. Palki Sharma tells you more.

It doesn't work for any small time player. It requires big players to underwrite it, and bigger players to drive it up in public. It's a pump and dump scheme. Some will get lucky while most won't. If you have an IPO with established private earnings and past dividend records, you can play. Otherwise, you are gambling. That's okay, but you lose more often than you win. You can chart it, but that's not easy with market markers in the background trying to get you into terrible positions.

Nowadays lots of IPOs are floated....the Rush is seen the first day & the share values goes around 40 % high....& from the next day it keeps on going down & down....now when these shares will bounce back...is a question ??..for pushing these shares up the "operators" will show up after some days because the operator funds are diverted on other companies...they can push up only a few companies on a particular

Paytm is the worst example. Offered at Rs.2150/- it is trading around Rs600/-. Opened at a discount oh 10%. Indeed all that glitters in the stock market is not gold especially if they are SME IPOs.

The short term traders in the stock markets are nothing but the vultures leeching onto the hard work of others. Even though it is not illigal yet, it is definitely immoral, it encourages socio-economic disparity. I sincerely hope someone steps up to put in a lock in period of atleast 3-6 months on fresh IPOs.

Automobile industry is facing a downfall in Europe, by looking at the geopolitical situation around the world it's unlikely to grow in the future. This IPO isn't going to make much money.
