Film Night catches up with Richard O'Brien, Tim Curry and director Jim Sharman, who are hard at work on the movie adaptation of their cult stage musical, the Rocky Horror Show for 20th Century Studios.

O'Brien discusses the process of writing the play and music, and his character Riff Raff, while Tim Curry reflects on how he has had to reign in the flamboyant transvestite scientist Dr. Frank-N-Furter to make him more cinematic and less theatrical.

Changed everything for me. Until I saw this film on late-night TV in the very late 80s, I didn't realise sexuality and gender, could be so fluid. I'm sure I'm not alone with this!

Richard O'Brien used to come into the HMV I worked at in London in 1990-92. He was always so cheeky to us all lol

What you fellows did was produce what I consider the greatest cult classic ever filmed! When I happened upon it in the summer of 1981, my Friday or Saturday nights were accounted for. Such great fun, taking news papers, toast, squirt guns, and other such props into the theater so you could interact with a whole building full of like minded fans. Sigh, but all I have now are the memories and YouTube to relive those times. Thanks!

I fell in love w / Tim Curry and his voice when I was 16 years old . And saw Tim at his Fearless concert in 1979 .. He was Fantastic . The Rocky Horror Picture Show is the best !! Shock Treatment is good .. It has good songs- "shock treatment", " little black dress" and "lullaby" . I have met Meatloaf and Barry Bostwick came to a RHPS showing .. I always will be a fan of RHPS 💋 💗 .
