one day a stray cat walked into my house... we still have that cat.

There was a pregnant cat living on my school... I used to take care of her every day, she was adorable. I called her Spottyleaf, because she looked like Spottedleaf from Warrior Cats. One day I saw people kicking her, and I went to help. Some people laughed at me for being so nice for a simple cat, while some kinder people, one of them my best friend, thanked me for helping Spotty. I felt worried for her, because I couldn't be at her side all the time to defend her, so I asked my mother to adopt her, but she said she wouldn't let me bring a cat home. Then I asked my dad, and he said I couldn't take one more cat to his house, because he already had four, and also two dogs. I cried a lot and got very worried for Spotty, especially because I knew she couldn't give birth there, where people treated her so aggressively.
Some days later my aunt told me that a dog and cat saving group was going to find someone to adopt Spotty. To be honest, I was happy to know she was going to live in somewhere better... but deep down I was sad I couldn't adopt her myself and I was never going to see her again...
A few weeks ago she gave birth to some adorable kittens, in her new home. I was happy for her, and happy she has a new and good home too. I miss her a lot sometimes, but I'm glad I could help her while I could.

Adopting cats was the best thing my wife and I ever did, they bring so much joy to our lives. We adopted a kitten in 2009, then two more adult cats, 2 and 5 years old the following year. All 3 get along great and are great pets. The 3 of them are like a pride of lions, they all like to lay around together, groom each other, and play together. We tried introducing a kitten a couple years ago, but they had a hard time accepting him. He is 3 years old now and lives with my mom and is very happy. We introduced a human baby to the house this year and our 3 old boys love him and are so good around him. I highly recommend adopting cats for companionship, and most make great pets around kids as well.

My kitten Kuro was dumped a week after he was born. With no siblings or mom, he wandered the streets until kind folk called animal control and placed him in the shelter, where he spent most of his eight weeks. When I came in he was the only one left for adoption, so I picked him. He's doing much better now, and he'll grow big and strong! I estimate his birthday was May 31st, so he's about 12 weeks old now.

Everyone tends to forget about handicapped or elderly people when making these videos. I have M.S. and am grateful for having a cat, she is my greatest companion. She is company, She is my personal heating pillow, and she is always there without judgement on my worst days. My cat always checks on me, especially on my worst days she is never more than a few inches away. She makes my absolute terrible days bareable because I have someone to talk to, to cuddle, and she is happy just laying on me watching tv. She warns my husband when I cramp up or can't breath properly. So number 11: Cats are wonderful companions for handicapped or elderly people.

I have had rescued strays for years. My last two babies passed and I need to clean my home a bunch first but am going to get two more. I miss my babies. The one was with me 19 1/2 years.

I adopted 3 cats this year. They were all feral in the beginning. My two tabbies are a bonded sibling pair, they are 9 months. And the latest addition is a chatty 2 year old black stray we named Toothless. All have been spayed and neudered and are up to date with their vaccines. They are hands down the best cats ever❤
