Had a CB be a 80 Overall out of the draft. Number 1 in CB in all skills at combine. Had an 8.0 combine, drafted him first pick in the draft. He was an x-factor obviously. Sometimes the game literally hands you a franchise player

Best steal I ever had was a RB from a small school had a 7.4 combine and A- first two traits and B+ third. Receiving RB i snagged round 6 and was a 75 with X factor trait. I find there’s way more on offense than defense

One draft I picked a RT who was ranked the at the bottom of the undrafted players, VERY BOTTOM, of the listed tackles and ended up being the best RT in the class

Any tricks for finding good MLBs? I'm about 10 years into a Franchise while running a 3-4 and every year it seems like all but a few of them are reduced to "Undrafted" talent when I scout.  Should I draft OLBs and just slide them inside?

I've done this twice. Twice I've overdrafted players that were not in a position of need with normal dev

I literally drafted a undrafted guy with a 5.8 combine grade. I of course scouted this guy and wouldnt you know it, 1st round talent. I am guessing this is pretty rare I've not seen any videos on it and wondering how I managed to do it.

I had this same situation occur and he did end up being an X-factor. Part of the reason I drafted him was because there was a "Draft Story" and the tweet said something like "He's got the talent to play at this level even though he could not participate in the Combine." So, maybe it's the combo of high grade, no combine and news story?
Edit: Traded up to get a CB that meets the requirements but with no news story. He was only a Star development... so I think it's just higher probability.

There is an exact, proven, 100% way to always draft Superstar X-factors unless there aren't any in that draft class. It is an absolute cheat though. When you go to scout players there is an option to edit the draft class. If you do that, you can see every single player in the draft and view them. Go into edit the player and cycle through the tabs to the place that displays all of their ratings and you can also see their dev trait.


As I said, it is a super cheese cheat, but this is the only way to know 100% of the time who is a Star, Superstar, and Superstar X.



Something that can give you HINTS that somebody MIGHT be a Star or better player is reading the draft news. Players that are mentioned positively have more of a chance to be better than Normal Dev. If somebody is mentioned more than once then there is a greater chance they are better than Normal Dev.
