Picaria is an abstract strategy game in which the aim is tocreate a three-in-a-row of one's pieces either horizontally, vertically, or diagonally.

How to play Paper Game: Picaria
Drop phase.
1. Each player places one piece per turn on any vacant space on the board except the center (central intersection point).
2. Players alternate their turns.
3. Players cannot move their piecesuntil all players have completed placing their pieces on the board.
Move phase.
1. Players take turns moving one piece along a line to an adjacentand vacant intersection on the board.
2. During this phase, players can move their pieces to the center intersection.
3. Jumping is not allowed.

I’m confused. Rule two of the Move Phase states that “players are not allowed to MOVE their pieces to the center intersection” yet in all example gameplays, one or both players move at least one of their pieces into the center intersection.

Am I misunderstanding what the “center intersection” is? I was under the impression it was the center-most intersection where the eight lines intersect. All examples follow the drop phase rule of “no center intersection” but not the move phase rule

The rules of the game are well explained in the text, but poorly applied in the animated examples.
In the first example (Round 1), the first move of the second player (first red line) does not comply with the rules of the game, because it does not cross the blue line (which started the game).
In the third example (Round 3), the first four moves are not legal, because they do not cross any of the above lines.
In all the examples, legal plays alternate with others that are not.
