It's a sad situation, I took care of a child that wasn't mines for 4yrs. Went to court to get custody and the lady busted out in court the boy wasn't mines. She had been known who the real father was. It seriously needs to be a law put in place for paternity fraud. Just like they slap Males with child support and we get our license's took, paychecks garnished even go to jail. Make it fair.

The lil girl's heart is shattered into pieces as well, cuz of her mom's selfishness! She did NOT ask to be here for all of this confusion!

He lost a child who he thought was his daughter and she lost someone who she thought was her daddy and because she's so little, she probably doesn't understand why he doesn't want to be around her anymore. Very sad.

I was the child in that situation, it was not brought to light until I was 18. Fortunately the man who raised me and his family didnt reject me. He was not a good dad and questionable person, but we was cool and we loved eachother up until he passed. And I have a SoSo relationship with my bio dad. There is no right or wrong answer on which way to go. But the adults who made the mess need to be the one to figure it out, not the child. Like I had to.

My Uncle had this happen... sadly he found out when his "son" was 18 and got shot.he wanted to donate a kidney to help found out after they took him off life support he wasn't the father.He still paid for funeral services.

Men: please STOP signing birth certificates without DNA tests, depending on your state that makes you responsible no matter what the DNA says. If y'all not married to the woman, protect yourself in that way before you're invested emotionally and financially because unfortunately it's up to y'all since the system doesn't have anything in place to protect you.

You don't have to say you want a DNA test in front of her family but the second y'all are alone let her know and tell the nurses directly, have your ID on hand and complete it immediately.

Even if the child looks like you, that only means she has a type, not that it's yours. It's unfortunate but true 🤷🏿‍♀️

I see a few comments blaming the man in this situation. IT IS THE WOMAN'S FAULT, BLAME HER!!! She was the one sleeping around. There is a good chance she knew that guy wasn't the father. She wanted the better option.

This should classified as a criminal case. If a man duck his responsibility of taking his children, his grill is hanging on the walls of your local post office, child support looking for him. If you're trying to take care of your kids wages getting garnished. But have a female lying about the father. That's freaking life changing circumstances, 6 years of being involved physically, mentally, financially, that's horrible 😢
