#ASKLM What do you think about putting citizenship restrictions (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or legal visa holder) on the purchase of U.S. real estate? Right now a person needs a visa to enter the U.S. to live, work, or study. But no such restrictions exist when purchasing U.S. real estate. Other countries restrict non-citizens from buying real estate, so why shouldn't the U.S. do the same? Real estate is an asset class, but it is special because it is a physical asset, and there is a limited supply, and people need to live somewhere and businesses need to locate somwhere. Aren't there national security implications if foreigners own too much U.S. real estate?

The NYC exodus was called by James Altucher months ago in his article entitled, "NYC is Dead". Many people, including Jerry Seinfeld lambasted him for daring to speak the truth and to point out why this year's NYC exodus is different than in previous economic downturns. People and businesses are realizing that they don't need to be in NY in order to run their businesses. None of Altucher's critics could rationally refute any of his analysis. They all (including Seinfeld) simply resorted to ad hominem attacks without any reasonable counter arguments. The critics' responses were akin to blaming the mirror because you are unattractive.

The Rich people in the world (like Pomp & PIMP) think people will save or invest the stimulus money, but for people who actually live in reality, MOST people will pay bills or buy food. That is where we are; and that is one way to see who is rich, or understands society.
