Please help me to understand this. How is it women are demanding to do away with the hijab in Iran and are being tortured for doing so by then Government, yet when they are in Canada or USA they want to keep the hijab on? What kind of hypocrisy

From my observation Kurds seem to be pretty progressive compared to other Muslims in the Middle East.
Is this a common trend in Kurdistan or are progressives within the Kurdish population a vocal minority.
