Actually, my favorite Simple Minds song. Way ahead of its time.

Jesus, I'm 62 years old now, just listened to this mesmerising beauty by SM. If I could, just for a while, go back in time to the greatest year of my life. This song, that fucking intro does all of that and more, how I miss my crazy youth. Simple Minds, I salute you❤️.

Forbsey on bass, MacNeillo on keyboards, and the Goth Kerr's impish wavering vocals. The Minds greatest band ever. Patton.

Over 51 now and heard it in 1981 and love listening to it still when either jogging, or walking late in the night as a tuff song

Simple Minds albums always had amazing production and sound engineering quality. Very strident, rich and confident sound.

The guitarist is very creative, the keyboard player uses the synths brilliantly and knows what good chords to hit. Very musically as a whole.

Thank you Jim. This is my all- time fave cos it's Timeless. Just as fresh as when released. And the bassline kills me- the whole thing's Perfect and evocative.

We had a new wave club in Mount Vernon NY, The Left Bank (an abandoned bank)...had a DJ named Richie...best DJ I have ever heard, before, then or since....he had a sequence of songs that just used to FILL the dance floor..and this was the first song. It was (I later realized) the first Simple Minds song I ever heard - and I'll never forget it.
