Are you people kidding me??? This performance is absolutely glorious!!! This is not the time to comment on vocal placement or anything else...just focus on the point of the concert...Thank God for our Vets, and Renee Fleming for honoring them!

I respect those who gave their opinion on her pop-ish singing placement. What I would like to say is that Renée is Renée and no one can change the fact that she is the People's Diva, and she moves people through her sheer vocal operatic gifts. Pop or not, she gives message and letting people emote as she lift her voice and her wondrous interpretation.

If you really knew this incredible lady you would know the intentions of her feelings as she still touches souls. Not at any time, should you be in comparison, with a rock singer, try as to take a listen, to her soul, as she unfolds the text. We all know, "the Diva" yet, this lady is more, than what you see. We the world, should 'stop, as being negative to performance of the artists, maybe we would have more around, feeling appreciated. Learn from the inside out as having a heart's eyes to see as the eyes as to feel intentions of the soul. Renee, this is from Linda M. Lasley, just as always, no matter as to what, you are, the first fiber, of my soul like the rock song stated,  If I were a boy,  married as people do as I would do it all very much over again. Keep ever so beautiful, from a devoted friend. As for the love, of Opera I will always uphold and try to bring negative to splendid again as I know what you give to this the globe. I have turned back, this song, twenty times over, as it was your intention to sing that day, as to families as they showed on the screen, see my friends it was, sung by the greatest 'diva known, as to have it touch your souls even from behind a screen, it was intentions of her soul as giving respect to all at this great Memorial Day developed theory to be seen, as to do anything my world, let the artist express the soul of the text said.

This is horrible. She is trying to sing it with a pop singer's voice and she does not know how to do it. The placement is all wrong for pop singing. and she sounds thin and off key. Why didn't she just do it with her opera voice placement and do it right! Opera singers can NEVER (rarely) sing pop it always sounds horrible. Marilyn Horne was one of the few opera singers who could place her voice correctly for pop singing and she is very rare. Fleming sounds terrible here. Makes me cringe.
