Daylight - David Kushner (cover)

Well long time no see...
This was the longest "break" between two of my uploads, ever since I started with these covers in 2018. I didn't actually take a break from recording or from music, I still continued throughout the last 6 months, but most of the times I'm not satisfied with what I record. I would estimate, that around 80% or more of what I record, never sees the light of day. For example, this video was recorded in June, but I procrastinated mixing and editing it, because I didn't feel like it was a good performance. I record video and audio of my covers at the same time and in one take and add overdubs in post-production. However, I was always against using pitch-correction tools on my vocals, since the whole point was to keep that "live-performance" feeling. Most people covering songs on social media record a "studio version" and then lip-sync the video, which is far more time efficient and requires less practice. I still don't want to do that, however going forward, I will probably be less strict with my self-imposed rules....I still am unsure about it though. I just want to upload more covers and also finally release my own songs and there's no way I can do that, if I continue being so strict about everything.
