China's Evergrande crisis is taking an increasing toll on financial markets. From Hong Kong to Europe to the United States, investors are worried the indebted property group will default and that the spillover will destabilise an economy that is already under strain.

I've watched so many rich folks collapsing with a common reason, heavily leveraged. Don't take the margin that you can't afford. That's not investing, that's gambling.

Chinese Govt should let it collapse, don't bail it out. A country's economy driven mainly by private property developments is unproductive and lead to moral hazards. Homes should be built for stay, not for speculation. HK is a classic example. China should focus on engineering, science, technology and research. These create real jobs, not bubbles.

Who pays the suppliers who have delivered products and will be asked to supply more for the 1.5 million unfinished units. And the sub-contractors that have put in hundreds of thousands hours and owe their workers and will be asked to put in more labor to finish those 1.5 million unfinished properties. And raw material suppliers who furnish steel, aluminum, plastics, cement copper wiring, pipe. Big down stream bunch that want a guarantee not just from Evergrande but every other real estate conglomerate. If you turn over these unbfinished properties to the area governments where will they get all of the above to finish those properties. And who will sort out what? You have wealth management investors getting properties that might have been down paymented by buyers. Hypothecating a property. That won't go over well.

Many in the US have been saying stop investing in China. There are going to be some big investors, pension fund and hedge funds, who are going to be hurting.. The derivatives are the ones who are really hurt. That said there is not much that can be good for those who put all of their money into buying a condo
