How can you asses a true representation of the sound reproduction running the midbass drivers in free air/infinite baffle? I'm sure neither are designed for that type of use.

I really appreciate your videos. I think you can’t go wrong if you purchase either system. It’s my humble opinion that the STEG tweeters are definitely better than the Focal tweeters. In the midbass department, the Focal edge out the STEG. Overall clarity for me would be STEG as I appreciate the clarity and softness of the tweeters.

I would choose the STEG over the focal set here. The STEG sounds more mature to me. STEG is definitely going into my next project as long as Fred is here to support the Brand. Local availability is a big issue with the brand and hence marketability.

Hi fred, I have a question. To install 2 component sets, 1 is a FOCAL ES165KX3 (3way) and the other one is a FOCAL ES-165KX2 (2 way), I would need 2 amps for each component or I can use just one 4 channel amp??

Hi Fred great videos! Are the Steg SQL650C a good set? I wouldn't be using a sub so I'm after a set that reproduces well mid bass frequency. Would they sound good if I hook them up to a ESX QS-TWO nano amp (2x52w rms)? Too small? I'm looking for quality and not volume. If you have other suggestions for mini amps I can leave in the dashboard instead of fixing them anywhere in the car please let me know thanks!

Had ST650C in 2019 VW Tiguan. With DLS CCi44 and Morel woofer sounded great. Now I bought new 2023 Tiguan and can't decide what to get. How's the VW7C ? Are those improvement over these?

I have the focal PS165FXE Flax which is good sounding for the price, havent tuned them yet as i just got my DSP.
I can get the K2's for a bit cheaper, and im wondering:
I want warm sound, but also clear sound. I hear you say these are cold and harsh, but: Will they be better with a good tune with DSP? I want to run these in front, and FXE at the back.

I use DLS CA-CCi44 AB amp with Helix dsp 3s. What do you think? I kinda cant say no to the K2's now.. Thanks!

Es 165 is nice but kind of cold with eco, for now I think the St650c is the Winner.
