Poor Kirk. Still taking it hard. Hope he gets a hug.

You can tell Kirk genuinely loves Cliff and still misses him.

I read that cliff had a brother that died at a young age before him too, it makes you respect ray even more

Rob had no match at the auditions. The man is a bass beast and he plays Cliff´s basslines, riffs and solos in an awesome way. Cliff did give you a thumbs up Rob! we all are

My thoughts on the 4:

You can tell Rob is trying to be as respectful as he can be, and his story was a nice little uplifting part of this.

James doesn't want to delve into his feelings too much. He's likely one of the people who grew up with the whole "emotions are stupid" environments like many people his age have. But he feels for the loss of cliff.

Kirk gets super emotional due to all the traumatic memories surronding Cliff's death, and rightly so. He had the most direct trauma related to this event.

I can tell that Lars is emotional about this despite hiding it very well, as well as distracting himself well by talking about Ray.

I feel so sorry for Kirk! He was the last person who had contact with Cliff in the tour bus in Sweden before the tragical death of Cliff Burton. Keep strong bro!

Kirk is such an honest cool stand up guy. through all the Metallica shit he's the one who's not been changed he's still the same guy just living and enjoying the dream. I salute ya man.

I got chills when Rob said “I won’t let you down, I promise”. He’s absolutely kept that promise. He does Cliff’s legacy such justice, especially with Orion. Cliff would be proud, Rob. We all are.

I feel so bad for Ray... He lost 2 sons... But I admire his strength. He gets along whereas if I was put where he is I'd be dead by now.

According to Wikipedia when Cliff's brother died when he was 13, Cliff said to his parents that he'd become the best bassist in the world in his honor, and it's funny because he damn near was. RIP

Man, if Cliff's loss hurts us the fans as much as it does, I can't even imagine how much it hurts James and the gang. God rest Cliff's soul. The greatest bassist in in Rock and Metal period.

Ugh, poor Kirk. I think Cliff's passing really hit him hard because they had switched bunks that night. Brought tears to my eyes, poor thing.

Kirk is such a Nostalgic guy!! It's been many decades and even now makes him cry talking about his lost friend. Love you Kirk and your immortal deep friendship.

I've been a fan of Robert Trujillo's bass playing since he was in Suicidal Tendencies. To hear him say "Cliff if I get this gig I won't let you down I promise", just makes me respect him more as a person. That is a great promise to make.
