The first remix I ever purchased new on vinyl (as the “European Version”). Jammin’!

Did you know that this version came close of never receive a release? Fact. John Luongo was asked to remix the song wich he did in its acutal form. Epic Record USA and the Jackson disliked it and rejected it to be released. John Luongo received the instruction not to push any kind of bootleg release or he would be sued. But, it got a release by Epic Record Canada and then in the UK. One of the UK copy found its way into a radio station in the US and got played and it came to the ears of Epic Record USA and was mad and threaten to sue John Luongo. But John told them that he still had the master tape in his hands still and didn't send it anywhere. So Epic Record made an investigation and found out that instead of the tape being send to be destroyed, it was by mistake send to Epic Record Canada wich liked the version and released it first and then was released in the UK. But when Epic discovered that over 250 000 copies were sold in Canada alone they then decided to release it in the US. John Luongo said, "There is a God and he is a DJ".

Went to a Funk event in Brighton at the end of last year and the DJ played this remix and everyone went crazy. Took 4 pills and the ground was shaking like mad. One of the best music moments of my life.
