Simple Way to Remove Ballpoint Ink from Clothes – Best Laundry Tip

Ballpoint ink can not be removed with soap and water. You'll need special treatment for this. In this video I will share a simple way to remove ballpoint ink from clothes.

Thank you my ink spots had been there a while the lighter ones left but the deeper ones stayed. Determined I sat them in bleach/ Tide and put the toothbrush you pointed out on them, then I put in the machine; I think they will be gone! This is huge! It was a new favorite shirt! Thank you!

It worked like charm! Yayyyy!! It was a sketch pen ink stained on denim.
I did not have any baking soda or vinegar. So, here is what I tried.
Below are the things you need.
1. Nail paint remover
2. Tissue papers
3. White paste
4. Salt
5. Tooth brush
6. Hot water( I mean it)
Now, pour nail paint remover on the stain and wipe with tissue. Repeat until the stain fades almost. (I know. Needs real patience. But, trust me, it works).
Then, sprinkle some salt on the spot snd brush it using white paste for 5 mins.
Immerse the stained area of cloth in the real hot water for 15 mins.
Now, take the cloth out and brush the stain area to remove the paste and salt.
You could see the hot water has turned coloured water and the cloth is stain free!

Summary
Soak in Vinegar
Add salt
Add toothpaste
And brush it long

Soak in wam water for 15 mins

That stain isn't embedded deep into the fabric! Why not pour the ink onto the fabric, let it soak in then try to remove it?

Update 2022

It does work guys but patience is the key... My lavender-coloured trouser was thick and I had multiple ballpoint ink marks... You'll have to follow all the steps and then take the softest toothbrush you have and keep on scrubbing it took 40 minutes of scrubbing to take it out...
You can add dishwashing soap too...
Mine is still not completely out but it's barely visible now... Patience is the key here and ofc the ingredients...
Be mindful of the type of fabric before you start scrubbing...

If this is not working for any of you here's how to remove ink stains in a way that works:
Spray the stain with hairspray if the stain is not gone mix 1 quart of water 1/2 teaspoon of dishwashing detergent and 1 tablespoon of white vinegar soak the garment in the liquid for 30 minutes rinse clean with water allow it to air dry if the stain persists apply a small amount of rubbing alcohol directly onto the stain cover with a clean cloth allow it to sit until the stain is gone changing the cloth when it fills with ink keep the stain and towel moist with rubbing alcohol if the stain Is still on the clothing combine 1 quart of water with 1/2 a teaspoon of dishwashing detergent and 1 tablespoon of ammonia soak the garment in the solution for 30 minutes rinse with cold water and allow to dry

And the fibers were still good after that? That's what makes me nervous. It makes me nervous that these Diy cleaning products would ruin the fibers and it becomes delicate to stretching or something. How did it look and feel the next few days? Will it also work on fabric paint? I know it's called fabric paint for a reason but I need to get it out. I don't want to spend more money on another shirt. Can you please do a video on you trying to get fabric paint out of shirts. And on different fabric too like cotton, polyester etc. Can you please get back to me as soon as you can and tell me if you will be willing to do it

Vinegar +salt+toothpaste then rub it +warm water and soak in for 15 min then wash

Didn't work for me, It depends which Ball Point Ink it is. Some are oil based while others are water based inks, for oil based inks you need to use alcohol to break-up the oil.
