Mitch McConnell THREATENS 'Scorched Earth' if Democrats abolish Filibuster

Mitch McConnell filibuster must stay or he will go scorched earth on democrats. This is a threat, but Mitch McConnell is also terrified because Republicans cannot win a majority of the popular vote in the senate or any branch. Democrats should call his bluff because if the filibuster stays, Republicans will block voting rights legislation. Joe Biden and Joe Manchin must at least agree to filibuster reform

I'm fine with keeping a filibuster under two conditions: 1) change cloture rules from 3/5 of all Senators to 3/5 voting (to chain the obstructionists to the floor if they really want to block something so bad); 2) get rid of the silent filibuster.

Under those rules (except it was 2/3 instead of 3/5), you would see maybe one or two filibusters per Congress. Once the pain was removed, it slowly started to climb until McConnell decided to filibuster everything, including bills that he wrote, because he cared more about blocking Obama than helping the American people. He may be the most evil person to enter that level of American politics ever.
