I find myself so disillusioned with the results of this election that I just want to disengage from anything political. I find myself mourning for the country that I grew up in and the principles that I was taught to live by that are dead. I fear for what lies ahead for this country and no longer understand what half of my fellow citizens are thinking. Only God can help us now.

I have never been more discouraged about the state of politics in the US in my 59 years. The level of corruption is absolutely conscious-shocking and it won’t be fixed. I believe conservatives voted but it didn’t make a difference since Democrats still voted for disastrous policies. As long as Dem voters don’t care about anything other than winning the country will continue to lose.

Talked with a lady in GA about the elections. One thing she said was that she was surprised at how many people didn't even vote. Many weren't even registered to vote, and she said that many of these people were older. I am guessing that there are a lot of people out there who have common sense, but, have no idea of what's going on in our country or really don't care. They don't see the connection between what happens in our country and our voting. This is very sad. People need to make the connection.
